In Black and White

I love the midnight look of this radish. It has so much eye appeal and seems mysterious. I ate it raw, sliced thin, with the skin on. The stark, bright white inside contrasts prettily with its dusky charcoal band. It is very crunchy and has a deep, slow heat. Really nice. The next time I buy a black radish I want to make a salad and slice rounds of it over dark green lettuce. If you want to eat healthily, sometimes it helps to find new and interesting things, especially colourful vegetables. Or a black and white vegetable.
